Spring Elective Schedule 2025-2026
Please review the elective courses below along with their syllabus for details. Then enroll using the registration form, which can be found below. Students can make changes to their elective course registration through the Friday of the first week of the each semester.

Course Description
Students in the OD27 cohort are required to complete one (1) elective course during their third year. If your schedule permits and space in the course is available, you can take more than 1 elective during your third year.
Students enrolled in the Master of Science degree program are not required to take elective courses, but should register the same as other students if they would like to take a course.
Enrollment Process
Before selecting an elective, check your lab, seminar, and clinical assignments for conflicts. You may register for an elective that is held on the same day as a clinic assignment as long as you have 1.5 hours for travel time to or from clinic. You may not miss any part of a course/lab/clinic assignment to accommodate an elective course or vice versa. It is your responsibility to check for your availability.

DUAL DEGREE
OD/MS Dual Degree Program
Designed for students interested in complementing their OD studies with significant research experience, this dual degree program is completed simultaneously with the Doctor of Optometry. Students can enter this dual degree program during their first year at the College. More program details can be found here.
